- Deal starting hands: Deal 3 journey cards to each player. Players look at their cards but keep them hidden from others. Place the action deck nearby. Do not mix action cards into the journey deck—they are only drawn when instructed.
- First player rolls: The youngest player goes first. On your turn, roll all dice. Match the symbols on your dice to the symbols on your journey cards to complete journeys. You may re-roll up to two times per turn, but you must keep the results after the third roll.
- Score and draw: After resolving your rolls, move your token forward on the score track equal to the points earned. Then draw one journey card to replenish your hand. If you complete a journey that gives you an action card, draw it immediately and follow its instructions.
- Ending the game: Play continues clockwise until a player reaches or passes the final space on the score track. That player wins, but other players get one more turn to try to tie or beat the score. Ties are broken by the player who completed the most journeys; if still tied, the player with the highest single-turn score wins.
